Domain Names (Virtual Domains)
Effective November 24th,1999 all our accounts come with a Domain Name (i.e we do not charge extra for hosting a Domain Name with your account, but the actual charge for the Domain Name or Registration through a Domain Registrar is separate). You can use your non-domain address and your Domain address to access your Web Site. Without a Virtual Domain your site would have an address similar to www.drw.net/yourname but with a Domain Name your site would have an address similar to www.OriginalName.com. Make it easier for people to remember your site's address by giving it a unique name. It will also make your site seem professional and big. If you already have a Domain Name, you can transfer it for FREE ! Simply use our Technical Contact info and Nameservers for the Domain Name you want to transfer. You must make these changes through the Domain Registrar if you already have a registered Domain (i.e through the company that you registered your Domain with)

Vanity Domain (Sub-Domain or Third Level Domain)
We can setup a Vanity Domain like name.YourName.com for FREE and there is no additional monthly Domain Hosting fees for this other than your fees for your regular account. This Vanity Domain will point to your main Web Site. We cannot point these Vanity Domains to a sub-directory within your account unless you have the Administrator account or unless you plan to order a separate account with the Vanity Domain (In either case please allow 24-48 hours for setup).

Multiple Domains
We can setup multiple Domains to point to your main Domain/Site on our server. The cost is only $10 USD or $14.25 CDN for setup (for each Domain). There is no additional hosting fee for the additional Domains. (NOTE: We cannot point these Domains to a subdirectory in your space)

Mapped Domains
If you have an Administrator account, we can map a Domain to a folder in your Web space. The cost is only $10 USD or $14.25 CDN for setup (for each Domain). There is no additional hosting fee for mapped Domains. A Mapped Domain does not have a username or password. The owner or Administrator of the account must manage the mapped accounts. Mapped Domains work transparently i.e the visitor will see the Mapped Domain name on their Web Browser. They will not see the main account's Domain Name. If you need e-mail accounts for the mapped Domain(s), you can share them from the 200 e-mail accounts that you are allowed to have with your account. (Example: If your main Domain Name is Example.com and you want to add a Mapped Domain called Client.com, you can create a POP or e-mail account with your Administrator account and edit the Virtual Aliases for Client.com to forward mail to this new or existing POP/E-mail account). The client can then check the mail through our Web Mail system or they can configure any e-mail software on their own computer to download/check their mail (such as Outlook or Eudora).

If you are using MIVA Merchant, we recommend the following company to obtain Merchant Accounts and to use them as a payment gateway:

There are several other companies who support the MIVA Merchant Shopping Cart, such as Authorize.net, Paypal etc.

To accept credit cards in real-time (live) and on-line, we refer our customers to InternetSecure, Inc. They can setup an account and even setup Merchant Accounts for those customers who do not have merchant accounts to accept VISA, MasterCard and Amercian Express. They accept clients from all over the World. All orders are processed through their secure servers in real-time. You can even use the Dansie Shopping Cart with this service. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)
You can use our Secure Server (Certificate) for secure on-line orders, secure site acces etc. or you can order a SSL Digital Certificate for your Site which will respond to your Domain Name (without bringing up a continue button or "Certificate does not match site" errors which confuse visitors). As a Web Host partner with THAWTE, DRW Networks can quickly and easily obtain the certificate. The cost is $169.20 USD or $253.80 CDN for the SSL certificate for the first year. This includes a one time setup fee of $10 USD or $14.25 CDN for installtion of the certificate on our server.

Virtual FTP ( yourname.com)
Virtual FTP is the capability to reach the ftp server using your Domain Name via a FTP program. This is available free of charge with all accounts.

Virtual Email ( you@yourname.com)
Virtual Email is the capability to send and receive email through your Domain Name. This is available free of charge with all our accounts. By default you can receive all emails that are sent to your Domain. We setup a catch-all email alias such that <anything>@yourname.com is forwarded to your local POP account or the email address which you want us to forward all your emails to. The Account Control Panel allows you to edit and add additional emails aliases like webmaster@yourname.com or info@yourname.com etc. and each of these email aliases can be forwarded to any email address you want.

Anonymous FTP ( ftp.yourname.com)
Anonymous FTP allows you to let your visitors download files through a web browser by visiting ftp://ftp.yourname.com or through any ftp software (login: anonymous password: their@EmailAddress). This is like running your own FTP server, except visitors are not allowed to upload any files. It is the customer's responsibility to make sure that the files on their anonymous FTP server is not copyrighted or illegal.

NOTE: Anonymous FTP is available with the Administrator Account or better and it can be activated free of charge by contacting us at support@drw.net.

Anonymous NameServers ( ns1.yourname.com and ns2.yourname.com)
Anonymous NameServers or DNS Server allows you to hide the identity of your Web Hosting company or ISP. When somebody does a WHOIS lookup on your Domain Name through the Domain Registrar, they would see your anynymous Nameservers and not our Nameservers i.e instead of seeing ns2.drw.net and ns3.drw.net they would see:
ns1.YourDomain.com
ns2.YourDomain.com
